Who Doesn't

The more I adjust,
Is the more I understand.
That the person I'm dealing with,
Does not belong to the world I live in.

We all know that one is different from another,
But that doesn't mean, that only one will make a space for the other.
Compromise should have been the answer,
But too little would choose that kind of answer.

Silence has been so deafening,
I tried listening with my deaf ears.
But in the end I cannot stand with it;
I cannot ignore what I know is not real.

I speak up what others cannot;
I express what others have not.
Many have benefited with my empathy,
The reason why I don't choose who doesn't improve with me.
