LAEZEE

My name is Leizel Zafra also known as "leizy/laezee" (pronounced as lazy) since the correct pronunciation of my name is "laezel". Though my nickname is pronounced as lazy who is a person who isn't hardworking, but the real thing is, I am the total opposite of that word (I guess it's up to you to judge as I go on here hehe). I was born on December 16, 1993 (you can calculate how old I am today HAHA) at Cotabato City, Philippines. I have two older brothers, therefore making me the youngest and only girl of the three siblings. I currently live in General Santos City, the tuna capital of the Philippines. ^_^

I am a dog lover, cosplayer, photographer, make up artist, writer (blog and wattpad), event organizer, performer and many more. I know it's a bit weird to know that I do all these stuffs but they're all my hobbies in life. I guess I'm such an energetic person who loves learning. Hahaha

Popo and Me

I am a cosplayer in our city coming from the group of Kyrie Cosplay Guild. I started cosplaying last April 15, 2012. My costumes are not that a lot yet since I join contest once in every year (only in big cosplay events), though I'm new to this, having not enough experience or should I say exposure to cosplay, I was able to win/ receive 1st runner-up during the Mindanao Cosplay Summit under the Solo Category last August, 2013 And my character that time was Saber from Fate/Stay Night. I'm soooooo overwhelmed that time. Thank you so much to all who helped me in preparing my cos especially my armor. I never thought I was able to act a sword fight alone on stage HAHAHA. But I'm on hiatus after my Saber cosplay.

I am also an amateur photographer, I do photo shoots either paid or not (you can see some of the pictures I took in my Google+ and Flickr account). I sometimes have collaboration shoot with my friends under the name of Happy Snaps Photography (but this was long before during college). I love to take photographs of anything that catches my attention. I always love to imagine things wherein I connect it to the photos I took. Luckily, I received consolation prize during the Kalilangan 2015 (Gensan Foundation Anniversary). It was very unexpected since the winners were all pro photographers and I am the only amateur who got an award and knowing also that it was my first time to join in a photo contest. Very unexpected! I'm very lucky, I guess. Here are some of my fave shots >.<

Aside from that, I really love make ups! I love seeing people who look beautiful and comfortable with their looks. I became a fan of make up since when I started in cosplay. It's really a problem for us cosplayers how to look good or to look appropriate when wearing costumes and wigs (we all know that anime and humans are really far different form each other). From that, I watched make up tutorials from Youtube (savior of everyone), I watched many videos and gather all the knowledge I learned from every video. I practice it to myself, see the difference and judge if it really looks good to me; should I add or remove anything. Since then, from the practices I made I learned and somehow gain expertise in terms of make up, thanks to Youtube hehe. And now, I became a freelance make up artist, I do services to my friends (and somehow received some TFs hihihi).

Other than stated above, I am a writer here in my blog and in wattpad (my account in wattpad is thislazygirl sad to say I'm not active with this account anymore ---I'm more fond of writing here, somehow whenever words were cloudy in my mind). I just love expressing my thoughts and feelings through writing, but I am not that type of person who is always on the go to write, I need inspiration or anything something in mind to push me to write. Just like now, I am really eager to publish this new blog since I just learned how to do the layout of my blog (I purely made all the designs you found in this template) and I'm really proud of what I've done. HAHA

And last, I am an event organizer of Gensan Kpop Town. I am one of the head organizer of the organization wherein it composes with my Kpop friends who are also cosplayers but if you would ask us to weigh kpop and cosplay, probably we'd choose Kpop. We started our very first event on 28 August 2013, and last April 27, 2014, we hold the 1st big event here in our city and that is "Kpop Face Off 2014". Thereafter, we continue to hold one or two kpop events in a year. And notably, we started collaborating with KCC and Veranza.

Sadly, I am mostly on hiatus with my hobbies ever since I entered law school. However, my love for kpop remains and I continued organizing kpop conventions in the city despite me studying. And a year before my final year in law school, I decided to take a break and put my organizing team to hiatus, but covid strikes and my plans for a long break became mandatory due to safety health protocols.

Despite the pandemic, blessed to be, I finally finished my law school life. Now, I am a Juris Doctor aiming to get the license and be a full-fledged lawyer.
