I made thoughts gone wild with my words that were colored with black and white."

The Three Beings Inside of Me

The Three Beings Inside of Me:
The Heart, The Mind, and The Soul

CHAPTER 1: The Mind Is Too Strong

The Heart was rushing to catch up with the Mind and shouted, "Can you please not be so harsh? And give me more freedom to choose who should I trust?" The Mind looked back and saw it was the Heart who was shouting. Mind stopped, faced Heart and said, "Are you out of yourself again? Have you forgotten who saved you when you drowned us with your blood?" Heart took a deep breath. "It was you, Mind. But, you are not letting me do my job. You're taking over almost everything that I was made to do." Heart, replied. Undaunted, Mind confronted Heart, "Have you forgotten how many times you cut yourself and bleed for people who are not even willing to bleed even a single drop for you? I let you do it over and over again before, but over time your blood was starting to drown me and making it harder to catch up with life. You bled to much to bleed again."

The Soul was wandering around and noticed the two having a serious conversation. Soul was standing silently behind them and trying to catch up with what they were talking about. Suddenly, Heart was trying to pierce herself in front of Mind. "And now you want to be rebellious again?" Mind fiercely asked Heart.

Heart mustered the courage and frankly told Mind, "I always doubt the sincerity of every act without minding if it was just out of kindness. My vision is always blur that it will only hurt me if I choose to let them enter my realm. I am starting not to care how others would feel if you're the one in-charge of me. It feels like I'm starting to live as if I was not meant to be shared." Then Mind added, "Give me one reason to say yes to your demands." The Heart was tongue tied and doesn't know what answer to give Mind enough to loosen up. Silence covered them and Soul interrupted. "What if there is one brave soul who is willing to bleed more for you than you have bled for others?" Mind was surprised with the question. And Heart started crying thinking no one had ever did it for her.

The Library

The Library

(A Short Story_Valentine Special)

"People do come and go, like in a library where people come to loan a book. Some may return and seldom come back, some never came back, but it's too rare to see someone staying longer just to read every book that a shelf can have."

It was past sunset when she started to enter her library and ready to put another book in a shelf that was already half-filled. She was looking around as the hall was too quiet yet felt empty despite the books around. She's at peace but something is missing.

After putting back the last book in it's original shelf, she heard a soft sound of giggles not too far from were she was standing. Frightened a bit, anxiety started to creep in. But the mysterious noise continue, the sound of giggles became happiness to her ears; her anxiety was replaced with curiosity.

Walking silently across every shelf, she finally found where the giggles came from. A person was sitting on the floor in between the shelves that no one had dared to check. She peeps over the old books and saw that he was reading the book she forgotten existed, too long to be remembered that she had it in the first place. The book she thought already buried and out of mind.

Minutes have gone so fast and he was still reading every page the book has. She was too curious on what were written in there as he was enjoying himself in every page he's in. With her unguarded clumsiness, he noticed that someone was there, observing him. He closed the book and said, "Sorry to frightened you, but you can come out."

She slowly walked out from where she was hiding and replied, "Sorry to disturb you as well. But you see, the library is almost closed. Why are you still here?"

"I was enjoying reading this book. Sorry for creating a scene for awhile." He answered.

Out of intrigue, she added, "I thought nobody was checking this side of the library. I even forgotten that book you are holding is existing. Thank you for showing interest to it."

He looked straight into her eyes and smile. Then said, "I see, you never recognized me, but I am always here inside the library, reading every book that my curiosity calls me. But that's okay. I always see you giving too much attention to every person who would come by and loan a book. I know you were too busy attending to their needs first."

She smirked and replied, "They were too enthusiastic at first and hyper whenever they try to loan a book. I thought it was amazing, but over time, after returning the book they've borrowed and never showed interest again in another book, it felt weird, odd and draining. But that's how it is, people would only choose to read what excites them and if there's nothing left, they leave."

He interrupted, "Maybe you were just too focused on the people who are doing their best just to catch your attention for you to lend them your book. And you started to forget that there are some, too few, who enjoys reading here and comes back to have another book."

Have nothing left to say, she immediately asked for him to leave because the library is closing for tonight. But he added, "I only see you from afar, observing every smile you put on your face with every person who showed interest in borrowing your book. I even see you sitting empty on your table with have nothing to work on. I know it took me for awhile to have this time, but you see, every page of your book is worthy of every second I have."

"I never borrowed any of your book, because it feels more lively to read every single page here, with the author with me even you didn't notice me." He added.

Tongue tied and confused, she had no reply.

He lend out his hand and asked, "Wanna see my library this time?"

Anxious and full of doubts, she didn't respond.

He looked at her, smile, walked closely and slowly grabbed her hands. "I'll be with you as I tour you around. Please, be at ease with me all the time."

~

Life is like a library. The experiences we had became the stories to tell written in every book we try to share. Some may have long forgotten but it's still there, and some were too trendy for most of the people to be hyped about and read it when it's up to tell. But lucky are those who finds someone who never gets tired reading every page of every book you have to share. May you find each other in this lifetime.

A Letter to Remember: Birth to Life

A Letter to Remember: Birth to Life
-Laezee

To someone they call "I",

I was born in this world having nothing. I was no one and I don't know how to do things properly. I don't know love, hate and anger back then. All I know is to smile and laugh until my day ends.

I don't care what I look like. I don't care what it feels like. I don't care what people would tell me. I don't have any worries that would bother me.

I am always afraid of other people. I always hide behind my mother. Always too shy to say 'hi'. Never dared to make friends through a smile.

I would always remember my parents would say, "Don't talk to someone who you do not know." Giving me fear on meeting a stranger. I locked myself up with small circle of friends. Acting like they're the only ones I know.

I stayed up all day playing with dirt. Running around like being chased by a monster. I get bruises and wounds around my joints. I cry whenever I'm lost to a new world.

Days went by and I started to grow. I learned a lot of things from what I observe. I always copy what the elders would do, excited to be an adult too. Small things satisfies me; receiving a lollipop is more valuable than money. I see everything to be simple and very easy.

The growing stage was hard. I started to feel hatred and anger towards anyone. I became emotionally imbalance. Always aiming to be noticed by everyone.

I always want to be praised in all I do, believing I'm always good. I say what I want, and I say what I mean. Nothing can stop me from what I am doing.

I learned to walk alone, I met different people along the road. I learned to adjust and accept my defeat. I learned to where my place should be. And I learned to consider what others would feel.

I started to have my own dreams. To be someone who I admire to be. Having thoughts to help my parents and others. Believing in myself that someday I will prosper.

I'm on my way on making my goals and dreams to reality. It was not that easy as I thought it would be. I learned how to sacrifice and bargain things. Dealing with temptations was a fifty-fifty.

Challenges and problems won't leave me. Stress and depression became part of me. How lucky I was to find true friends. Who stayed and help me give colors in my world of sadness.

Years went by and I'm going near, too near in fulfilling my dreams. I took my college degree and think more seriously. I became matured to fit in with my surroundings. I took risks and learned everything from it.

I focused heavily to graduate, get a diploma and have a job. But fate was really unexpected for me at that time. I learned to love and I fell for love. I was never prepared to play the game of love.

I don't know how it should be, I don't know if it was real. But it was my first to feel it. And it was my first to meet someone like him...............

Nobody to You *Short Story*

"Why can't you see me?"

"Am I really invisible to you?"

"Or I'm just a ghost to you?"

These are the common questions asked by people who loved someone who can't loved them back. Sad right? Well, I'm one of them. A girl who changed herself and reached her best, but still, the guy who is the reason of never noticed it and still remained no one to him.

It was a new school year, new faces and new experiences. But for me, there's nothing new, I'm just an ordinary girl not even looked more than once. Though the school is so big, my school life would still be plain same as usual.

The bell rang and I went to my first class. To my Math class which I hated the most, is where I first met him---the reason of everything. The guy who I never thought who would mean so much to me.

Before I entered the room, the chairs were already filled with students except for the chair right behind him. At first glance, he really captured my eyes and it captured me more as I walk closely to the chair behind him.

He is a guy who is handsome with a bright smile with a very pleasing personality. He is so friendly and loved by everyone. As time goes by, he only didn't capture my eyes but also my heart. I was caught off guard by love, I was falling in love with him.

But this feelings for him was only one-sided. I was the only one falling and he is not there to catch me. Well, who I am to oppose? I'm just plain and simple; not famous.

I kept this feeling for six months straight, not telling anyone even my best friend. I feel so satisfied just to see him during our class. But everything change when something came in. I never thought he would court someone. At first I didn't mind it but when I saw it with my own eyes, I felt the worst feelings I could ever felt. My heart was crumpled that time, it felt like it would torn into pieces. And they called it "my first heartbreak".

They say that heartbreaks could truly change a person, either for good or for bad. In my case, I could say I changed for the good. I learned so many things and gained confidence, thanks to him.

It came to the point that I finally realized so many things. I gave my best and did all I could do but still in the end, I gave everything and got nothing in return.

And now, I came to the point that I wrote him a letter, not a letter of petition but a letter of thanks. Hoping that someday I could give this to him, during the time that I am really ready to let him go; during graduation day.

Few years have past and finally I can now receive the fruit of my hard work, I will be graduating tomorrow and not only a simple graduation, I will be graduating as a Cum Laude---all thanks to him.

Graduation day came and everyone was so happy. Picture taking everywhere, laughter, embraces and congratulatory messages to each other. While everyone was busy talking to everyone, I took the courage to go near him and gave him my congratulations together with a letter.

That was the time he finally noticed me. He congratulated me as a reply and even shake hands with me. I felt so happy that time but I need to let him go. He was already taken and still can't catch me.

The time he said his thanks, I finally walk away from him with a smile on my face. After how many years, I could truly now move on. Thanks for everything.

------------

MY EVERYTHING,

How's life huh? I bet your always happy since you found the right one. Congratulations to both of you. For sure you will be reading this after our graduation day, so I wanted to greet you also a "Happy Graduation Day."

I know you are wondering why I wrote you a letter? Well this letter will be my confession---confession of my feelings for you. Please don't be shocked, I didn't write this for you to feel pity over me, instead I wrote this letter to thank you. Thank you for being the reason why I became of what I am today.

All because of you, I changed to a better version of me. Before I was only a no one to everyone, but now, I am noticed, believed and loved by everyone. If you would ask why I am telling that it is all because of you, yes it is really because of you. I know that you didn't do anything to me, you didn't talk to me nor even make friends with me. But my feelings for you did it for you.

I was so plain before, with simple beauty, simple everything. I'm not even intelligent. So as time passes by, I always notice that you really didn't see me as a girl, but only a stranger, just a classmate that is just a no one to you. And you even court a girl that gave me, my first heartbreak.

That's the time I started proving to you that I am not a stranger. I started to groom myself, fix my hair, put some lip balm and change my wardrobe. People around me did notice my beauty, but you, still you didn't.

I also did excel in our class. I studied well all in my subjects to show you that I am not only a girl with beauty but also with a brain. I topped our class and expected to be Cum Laude in our graduation. Everybody looked up to me, but you still didn't notice me.

After all I did, everyone noticed it, but you? You still didn't care, I'm still  normal to you. Though in the end, I ended up still losing you, still I won. I won in the point that I was able to break and come out of my shell and that's all thanks to you.

You may not be mine now, I know for sure someday, someone will love me like the love I gave to you. I know it maybe not now, but someday. Thank you for showing me that someone really deserves me more.

I guess I will end up here. Thank you for being my first love, and my first heartbreak. Thank you for everything!

The girl who is nobody to you.
